Would recommend for a short weekend trip

Beautiful room, beautiful view, with a spacious balcony perfect for enjoying the surrounding nature and a spotless onsen that provides a relaxing retreat after a day of hiking.

Typical Rokyon style rooms with ample amenities and beautiful views from the balcony. Perfect relaxation spot after a tough hike in the area.

Limited options for food can be a real hassle, especially for those not keen on Japanese cuisine. I found the breakfast lacking compared to expectations. got a basic Western-style rather than the fancy Japanese spread. Plus, if you're arriving early, be prepared for a long wait in the reception area without much to do. The hotel needs an upgrade. it's feeling quite outdated.

The onsen was relaxing, but the plastic mats were a bit off-putting.

i thought the onsen would be luxurious, but the plastic mats were degrading, so gross! also, can you believe only one restaurant? hot springs, fine, but really, a little upgrade woudl ve been appreciated. come on, it’s 2023!

i had an incredible stay at okuhida garden hotel yakedake after a long hike in the area. the onsen baths were fantastic, and the kaiseki meals were delicious and entertaining. i was pleasantly surprised by the room's traditional design and amenities, which made my experience so much better than i expected.
